Paul Morrissey (Headliner)Paul was born and raised a sports fanatic in upstate New York. After a stellar college basketball career and a year as an assistant coach, he traveled to California to pursue his dream of talking about sports for a living. Morrissey landed a television sports anchor job with an ABC affiliate in northern California. He worked there for several years until he became ìtoo much of a smart-assî for TV news and was fired after viewers called the station asking,îis he allowed to say that on TV?î Paul then took his unique sense of humor to comedy club stages all over the country and moved back east to New York City to develop his act. He earned a Masterís Degree at NYU and taught 12th Grade English during the day while honing his standup act at night. Paul has relocated to Los Angeles where he is a regular performer at The Comedy & Magic Club in Hermosa Beach, and The Improv in Hollywood. Morrissey has also been the opening act for a wide variety of musicians, ranging from ìWeirdî Al Yankovic to the legendary Don Ho. Paulís clever material and unique point of view has made him a hit with all types of audiences from coast to coast. act. In 2005, out of hundreds of comedians nationwide, Morrissey was selected as one of five finalists in the ìWendyís Comedy Challenge.î In 2006, Paul made his network television debut on, ìThe Late, Late Show with Craig Fergusonî on CBS. Paulís act well so well-received, he was asked to make a second appearance on "The Late, Late Show" in March of 2007.. Morrissey also signed a record deal and released his debut CD,îGood Seats Still Available,î which gets regular airplay on both XM and Sirius Satellite Radio. One reviewer says, ìWhen an experienced comedy fan is repeatedly surprised by the payoff or where the jokes land, you know you are listening to an original comedic talent.
Showtimes & Prices
Wednesday is PRO/AM night - we have 3 to 5 local amateur comics, as well as 1 or 2 of the professional weekend performers.
Thursday to Saturday shows - normally have 2 or 3 comedians with an MC, a feature act and a headliner. The shows last approximately 90 minutes. All shows contain adult content, but there is no age restriction for entry to the show.
A credit card or deposit may be required to GUARANTEE YOUR RESERVATION. For better seating choice and better service, please arrive 40 minutes prior to Showtime (2 hours before Showtime for Dinners). Please call us as soon as possible if you are running late or if there are any changes in your party’s numbers. 24 HOURS (or MORE) NOTICE MAY BE REQUIRED TO CANCEL ANY RESERVATIONS or part of your reservation. (Check our full reservation policy) You will lose your reservation and seating priority if you arrive less than 15 min prior to Showtime and have not called us.
ALL shows contain adult content, and are intended for an 19+ audience. Persons under the age of 19 can be admitted if accompanied by an adult. However, we do not recommend bringing anyone under the age of 16. If you are actually thinking of bringing your 12 year daughter …. or your 10 year old nephew…..you are probably a horrible parent.
